Feb 15, 16 and 19 - Along the California Coast and into LA

We arrived at the Long Beach Airport from snowy upstate NY on Tuesday Feb 15. Wow - nobody looks very excited to be in California. Maybe it was the long plane ride.  Collecting our bags outdoors was pretty neat - you don't do that where we come from.

We had Manhattan Beach to ourselves because it was drizzling and 58 degrees.

Saw some crazy aquatic life at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.

Spent an afternoon at LACMA, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The Japanese Art building was our favorite.

We also visited the Griffith Observatory but forgot the camera. At least it was a clear evening.

Feb 17-18 - Disneyland

Our first day at Disneyland was beautiful

After the terrible winter in the North East the flowers felt extra special

The second day it rained and was pretty cool but we had fun

Until we waited 40 minutes in a downpour for the World of Color to start  and it ended up getting canceled.

Feb 20 - All Aboard

The Port of Los Angeles is very different from Port Canaveral

It was cold when we boarded - glad they had blankets on deck

The cold didn't stop most people from having fun at the sail away party

By Tuesday the adult pool was busy
